Men better be ready to open their wallets when they go out on a first date. That's according to a new survey of 1,000 adults in the United States. A whopping 77 percent of the respondents, all of whom were currently in heterosexual relationships and living together six month or more, said that guys should pay on a first date. Breaking it down by gender, 82 percent of men feel that way compared to 72 percent of women. Talking about their own situations, 56 percent of male respondents and 59 percent of females say that men should continue to pay on date nights. However, 41 percent of those surveyed admit they split the check. So what do you think?! Should men pay on the first date or do you split the check?

Happy sports fans in Kansas City with the Royals winning their way into the playoffs #BeRoyal  #TakeTheCrown and the Chiefs playing Monday Night Football tomorrow.

In Chiefs news, did you hear about Len Dawson getting the bridge at East Stadium Drive over I-435 getting named the "Len Dawson" bridge?  Pretty cool.  I'll be cheering for the Chiefs on Monday for you.  If you are looking for a football team to cheer for on Thursday night, how about my Packers?  @radiogagakk #KansasPackersAmbassador with my Packers with a big win today against the Bears 38-17 today!

I would love to see a Super Bowl with a Chiefs vs. Packers rematch this year!

In other sporting news, today, you have chances to win a pair of tickets to the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Kansas Speedway for next weekend (Saturday, October 4th) PLUS a pair of tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Race (Oct 5th) at Kansas Speedway next Sunday with Q104 all day today!

With Halloween rapidly approaching, Americans are getting ready to shell out big bucks on the holiday between now and October 31. So, what kind of Halloween will it be for the industry that thrives on our lust for dressing up strangely and eating sugary treats? Not bad, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers' Halloween Consumer Spending Survey. The ICSC estimated $11.3 billion in Halloween-related expenses this year. About three-quarters of households planning to buy Halloween stuff will spend an average of $125 all on costumes, decorations and candy. Brick and mortar stores still dominate Halloween shopping with 90 percent of shoppers willing to leave the house to make a purchase. About seven percent will buy their holiday merchandise online. As for what the kids will be wearing, the top costume for boys this year is super heroes, and princesses for girls.

Will you be purchasing Halloween-related items this year? How much will you be shelling out on Halloween-related purchases this year? Do you prefer brick and mortar stores over online shopping for you Halloween purchases? What are your kids going as this year?
